AV Auto Glass practices industry-approved installation procedures. When it's time to replace a windshield, we use the same adhesives the manufacturer used when the car was built.
Essex U-418 Quick Cure Urethane Adhesive is manufactured to the same standards by an approved Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplier – Essex. This adhesive is used to install windshields on nearly every domestic vehicle and two-thirds of all vehicles manufactured worldwide.
Use of Essex for an auto glass replacement helps restore a vehicle to its original strength and retain a windshield during a crash. Not all adhesives have the strength required to allow the vehicle safety systems to perform correctly. It's important that the windshield is replaced properly so it's there when it's needed.
We are one of the only auto windshield installation companies in the Antelope Valley using Essex. If you are shopping for installers, please inquire if they use this product. Some glass shops use lesser quality sealants.
